By offering core EST curriculum training courses and proctored exams, ESPA licensees recognize that the most successful electronic systems technicians (ESTs) are individuals who have the knowledge and skills to do the job right the first time, to complete work safely with considerations for all code requirements, and to understand fully the infrastructure and conceptual basics of electronic systems.
High Schools & Colleges
As ESPA licensees, schools and colleges can increase their enrollment and provide students with the knowledge and skills needed for high-wage technical careers in electronic systems.
ESPA is reaching out to educators, especially in the Career and Technical Education field, to develop an EST skills trade program for their students. ESPA has a pilot project underway and is working with experts across the country to review and improve the pilot program as well as develop the turnkey materials needed to offer ESPA in their schools.
Many companies have training programs that help technicians earn the credentials they need to demonstrate their skills.
As ESPA licensees, training organizations can increase their enrollment and offer current technicians that have never been certified, career switchers, and new industry entrants the ESPA Certified-EST® credential they need for a successful EST career.
ESPA is working with training organizations that can help detail the entire map of EST training opportunities, motivate employers to get all of their technicians into the certification mindset and inspire ESTs to manage their own careers.
