Training
ESPA training helps:
- Current uncertified ESTs get certified. We help you take control of your career while also raising the professional bar for the entire EST workforce.
- Entry-level ESTs with the basic skills and knowledge required to be successful. You’ll establish a solid foundation for your advanced electronic systems career.
Our training program took a significant step forward in 2009 with the launch of several training tools designed to help you prepare for the ESPA Certified-EST® certification exam:
- Full review course: Offered via instructor-led training (ILT) and a self-paced online program. The ILT course is presented at tradeshows and other partner venues and is geared to those already in the industry who have never been certified and feel they need a full review course to help them pass the exam. The self-paced online program allows more study time for those that are new to the EST field and feel they need more time to learn the material at their own pace.
- Module specific training: Offered mainly online, but some ILT module training is done at industry events. This option is definitely for those already in the field and only need to brush up on one or two specific modules. If you need additional modules, it makes more sense to take the full review cours
- Downloadable 300-page guide: The guide is included with both the instructor-led and online review courses, but it also can be purchased separately for those who prefer learning by book study only. A hard copy guide also can be ordered and shipped to you via www.lulu.com for $40.19.
For those that are new to the EST field, you should take the full, self-paced, online course to help you learn the material that is the foundation of the EST career.
We encourage current ESTs that have never been certified to take the
Pretest Assessment – a valuable training tool – to help you decide which and how much training you need. The detailed score you receive upon completing the Pretest includes suggestions for improvement in the five domains indicated by incorrect answers. Based on how well you score on the Pretest, you may need no training, only one module, or just a copy of the guide to help prepare you for the exam. We want to make sure you only are taking and paying for the training you need to get certified.
