ESPA certification provides the foundation for ESTs in residential and commercial A/V, computers, lighting, automation controls, security, telecom, cable, satellite, and green technologies.  Schools are integrating the ESPA program into their curricula to help their students gain the critical skills needed for the 21st century.  
 
Prepping the Next Generation of ESTs

Our first-ever survey of seasoned ESTs and their views of their careers and training, found several important factors, including the need for schools to do a better job of priming the EST workforce pipeline. 

 
Most alarming, less then 2% cited a teacher or course in school as their primary motivation for beginning a career in the electronics industry.
